Gardena, CA, 10-29-2000 —Save the Dalmatians and Others Canine Rescue, a
non-profit Dalmatian rescue organization, is sponsoring a Dalmatian Olympics event for
Dalmatian owners to come and have fun with their Dalmatians and to educate the public
about the Dalmatian breed before the release of Disney's "102 Dalmatians" in
November. The event will take place at the South Gardena Park, 1200 W. 170th Street,
Gardena, on Sunday, October 29th from 11:00 AM to 3PM. Dalmatians can participate in
games, competitions, agility course walk-throughs, a doggie Halloween costume contest and
Canine Good Citizen tests. Dalmatians who pass the Canine Good Citizen test will receive
certification and a special tag. There will be obedience demonstrations, raffle prizes and
lots of other fun stuff to see and do. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the day. Learn more
about the benefits of spaying and neutering your pets. Information about the Dalmatian
breed will also be available--please come and learn more about this wonderful spotted
breed! The public is welcome to attend! If you own a Dalmatian and would like to
